Rider Information
[/blockquote][/blockquote]Name: T'lyn
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Rank: Bronzerider
Location: Fort Weyr
Personality: Ever since he can remember, his father, Vork, spent days upon days drilling it into his head that he would amount to only what he wanted himself to be. With that little bit of knowledge, T'lyn strove to be the best. Driven and determined, he doesn't turn from anything that is asked of him; fighting until the task is finished and complete. The downside is that he can get a bit caught up in what he is doing and forget to take care of himself, but never has he forgotten to take care of Okil or Okio or Oranith. They wouldn't let him.
He is a loyal Bronzerider, though he feels that his Weyrwoman might have acted to swiftly when it came to banishing the strange color dragons. Intelligent enough to know when enough is enough, T'lyn has a bit of a problem saying 'no' to those he cares about, but Oranith can easily be the shoulder that the Bronzerider leans on, and has been on countless times.
T'lyn is a dependable person, but his humor is a bit rusty. He has spent so much time trying to help others, that he has forgotten to live life and doesn't laugh often. This is easily fixed with some good ol' fashion wine or just taking away all of T'lyn's projects and making him relax in some sort of fashion. Though his sense of humor is horrid, he is friendly and a good listener. Almost boarder line mute, T'lyn speaks when he needs to say something, and most of the time, only then.
Apperance: Just as massive as his dragon, T'lyn is not the type of man one would willingly go up against. Standing at his full height, an easy 6 foot 2 inches and weighing somewhere around 235 pounds, he is a rather large man. Tanned from Turns of standing at the Smithy fires and riding Oranith, his skin has a bit of a buttery completion, when going between doesn't rob him of his color. His eyes are a startling icy blue, flashing a pale green hue when the light hits them. The iciness of his eyes give him a startling look if one doesn't know him well.
Sloping down from the rugged face of this Bronzerider, one is looking at a the body of well muscular man. His arms are long and large, the palms of his hands easily the size of an adult male's face. Long legged and wide of shoulder, it takes some maneuvering for him to enter small doors, wither it be turning to the side to let his shoulders through, or ducking his head to save himself a headache.
There are scars that run along his right shoulder and just barely circling his neck; claw scores from his first ever practice when Oranith was younger. Other than these scars, there aren't many marks on him that makes him stand out.
History: Born Trantlyn, son of a Fisher, he was almost killed at birth by his father, as the man believed his mate to have lain with another. Thought to be a bastard of a Smith and his mother, T'lyn was saved by the simple fact that the accused Smith's mate spoke up in defense of her mate; that her mate was sterile, unable to produce an heir from himself, much less for another woman. As he was saved by the Smith's mate, his father offered his life to the Smith to pay for smearing his name. The Smith accepted, and T'lyn was given to the Smith and his mate as weregild.
Given at birth, T'lyn was raised in love and acceptance of the Smith's mate, but as soon as he was able, the Smith had him out at the fires, working alongside him. He learned the Smith's craft, succeeding well and surprising the man that was suppose to be his Master, rather than a father-figure. The Smith soon taught T'lyn things that were considered family secrets, finally calling T'lyn his 'son' when the boy was ten Turns.
One day, while helping his 'father', Vork, T'lyn was sent to Daiya Hold Hall. There was suppose to be a very special event happening that afternoon. Upon arriving with his 'mother', Ingy, T'lyn found himself standing before the young Hold Lord and Lady and a basket of eggs surrounded by hot sand. It was a firelizard clutch that a Fishercraftsman had found while pulling his lines. While he was watching from the back, with his mother, a man approached them, holding out his hand and motioning T'lyn forward. He didn't give his name, but Ingy encouraged T'lyn to go with the man, who took him to the front of the crowd. There, he got a good look at the eggs. There were only a few left, with several cracked egg shells littering the sand in the basket. A chance to stand before the crowd and possibly bond with a firelizard was given to him by the Fisherman. However, by the time they had arrived, all the firelizards had already hatched and bonded with someone.
At the Turn of fourteen, T'lyn was Searched and taken from the small Hold to Fort Weyr, where he found himself Standing before a mighty Bronze and his Gold Queen and their clutch. The sands had seemed horribly hotter than everyone had warned him about, but T'lyn walked on. He Stood with the rest of the boys, beside his friend, Urnrak, who had started chattering almost as soon as T'lyn was beside him. It seemed like only a second passed before the eggs started to rock, and the dragons hummed. Several eggs hatched, T'lyn happy that every one that hatched held a healthy dragonet. Urnrak became U'rak when he Impressed Brown Buroth, but that seemed belittled when a cool voice slipped into his thoughts. I hate to be so pushy, but your Oranith needs food . . . . NOW! a Bronze hissed, actually taking a snap at his Brown brother, Buroth, which only caused T'lyn to chuckle.
Before T'lyn knew it, he and Oranith had been together for nearly fourteen Turns. At which time, T'lyn bonded with two unlikely firelizards, two grey onyx brothers he called Okil and Okio. It was against his Weyrwoman's wishes, as he was one of the few that were old enough to remember a time of only Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue, and Green dragons. However, after Okil and Okio came to live in his weyr, T'lyn began to see that maybe the newer colors weren't so bad, at which point he began wondering if what the Weyrwoman was doing was right. In the two turns he has been with Okil and Okio, he has begun thinking about leaving with the new colors, going to Mavlok Weyr to make sure they are ready for life on their own.
Dragon Information
[/blockquote][/blockquote]Name: Oranith
Age: 16 Turns
Color: Bronze <<9C661F
Brief Personality: For his size, and color, Oranith is a rather gentle giant, though not a push over. Born a Bronze, he was born knowing that one day he had the chance to become a mate to a Queen. Thus, he raised himself skilled in patience and control. He has a temper, but it is extremely rare to see it, very few ever have. Loyal and determined, Oranith is not the type of Bronze to be steered from his coarse, hence his persistent personality.
Brief Appearance: A light rustic hue that has a bit of a metallic shine to it whenever he flies, or passes under a light source. There aren't very many places on this massive Bronze that are discolored. A spot here are there are clawscored from private drills with his Brown brother, but other than that, he is a solid rustic bronze hue. Easily the largest Bronze, Oranith is just a few dragonclaws longer and head taller than his sire.
Firelizard Information
Name: Okil
Age: 2 Turns
Color: Grey Onyx
Brief Personality: The more dominate of the two brothers, Okil tends to be the one that is always flying about, causing trouble, and bothering others. He is chatty, always making noise if upset or excited, though he knows when to be silent, at least when T'lyn or Oranith tell him to hush.
Brief Appearance: Also the darker of the two, Okil is a dark grey hue that has a bit of a smokey appearance. He is the largest of the two, the length of T'lyn's arm and bout as big as a small fowl. He is slim and thin, holding only enough fat on him to keep him warm.
Name: Okio
Age: 2 Turns
Color: Grey Onyx
Brief Personality: Okio is a bit more subdued than his over-the-top brother, Okil. This little guy can always been found on either T'lyn or Oranith, only really leaving to hunt or join in a Rise. He doesn't really make much noise, barely uttering a chirp when he's upset or excited, more he weaves back and forth on T'lyn's shoulder or Oranith's head.
Brief Appearance: While Okil is large and dark, Okio is smaller and lighter in color. He also isn't as slim as Okil but he isn't fat or chunky, just holds a bit more fat on him.
