The Malvok Hatching Grounds are actually a large area of sand out in the open surrounded by large rock platforms to which seats have been added. They are heated by sunlight, and hold the heat year round. On the occasion when the weather is bad or Thread and Acid fall there are special metal covers made by the Scientists that can be carried to sit on top the stone around the sands, protecting them.
