***Currently at Fort Weyr*** A few days had passed since Zarinth had risen and H’den had become Weyrleader of Malvok Weyr. The last few days had felt like they’d gone by so fast with all the preparations to be made that involved moving into the new Weyr. Mostly it had been making sure the Weyr was stocked with essentials such as food, firestone, herdbeasts and wherries for dragons, along with anything else that had been considered essential. Now it was the moment of truth. Kaeya gave the weyr one final glance she wouldn’t miss it even though it had been her home the past couple of turns. The Weyrwoman was dressed in riding gear ready for travel. ”This day has long been coming.” Zarinth commented from her ledge, already equipped with her riding straps and what supplies she would carry. ”That it has,” Kaeya agreed and out of affection for the dragon wrapped her arms around her muzzle, as Zarinth crooned affectionately. ”Assemble the Riders.” Kaeya told the Queen as she mounted up. ”Everyone leaving for the new Weyr report to the Weyrbowl!” Zarinth announced to every dragon as she launched herself off the ledge and glided in a spiral down to the Weyrbowl, landing gracefully. It was evident she was still showing off while she could before she became to egg-heavy for such antics. ”Some of the Riders seem to feel that not all of the Fort Riders are against us.” Kaeya told the Amethyst as she contemplated whether or not to invite them along. It could always be on a probationary bases. ”It is your call.” That was the only response Kaeya got from the Queen. The Weyrwoman had no wish to out those who supported them in front of their entire Weyr for fear of what the punishment would be. If there were any Riders they could trust in Fort she would have to send them private invitations to join them. Also she wanted a chance to talk with H’den on the matter, after all he was the Weyrleader and should get a say in the matter. Pushing such thoughts aside for the moment Kaeya waited for everyone to assemble.

Sera was packed and ready in record time - even considering her usual pace of life. She had been, in fact, for days before now, in anticipation of their leaving. The stares and jibes from the Fort riders had been getting more and more obvious and out of control, even though she rode a 'traditional' coloured dragon and owned a 'traditional' coloured fire-lizard! She paused in the middle of stuffing a pair of trousers she had decided at the last minute to take with her into a carrysack, wondering how the taunts would affect those who rode new colours, but shook her head, sending her braid flying, and carried on packing. They would be gone soon, so it wouldn't matter - the scars would still be there, but they would soon heal in their own Weyr. Soon enough she had everything - or, more to the point, she had cleared out her quarters - and started tying it to Kezith's harness and straps, humming to herself, Tiiri perched on her dragon's nose, overseeing it all.
Zarinth says to gather in the Weyrbowl. Alright, Kezzy! Let's get going! She vaulted into her place on her green's neck, the lithe dragon snorting at the nickname even as she launched herself from her ledge and down to where the Amethyst rested, an imposing, majestic figure. She had recently risen, too, so soon they would have a clutch at Malvok. And that meant Weyrlings! She grinned, and waved happily at Kaeya, unperturbed by the scowls of the Fort Weyrfolk watching. They expect more decorum from a mere greenrider towards a Queenrider. Tosh! I can wave to who I want, besides, they're scowling because they're all sour and superstisous. Her green turned a mildly whirling, reproving eye back to Hers, and Tiiri turned her own gaze on the Rider. Serali snorted, and sat on her dragon's neck, looking in all directions for the others, also keeping an eye out for her father's Blue, as well as her father.
She spotted him, and the bluerider walked up to Kezith's side, leaning against the green with no attention for the scowls shot in his direction for such blatant friendliness with an Exile. He rolled his eyes dramatically, and she grinned, leaning down to speak with him. "Now, m'girl, you take care of yourself and your dragon. Kezith, take care of my daughter, alright? Tiiri, too. Remember, you can always send that little gold of yours with messages to me." Sera nodded, and petted Tiiri who preened at the implied praise. "Sure will! Maybe when things calm down, you can visit? I'm sure you'll like Malvok." She glanced over towards the Weyrwoman, her Weyrwoman, and shrugged. "If the Weyrwoman is alright with it, I guess." He nodded, and stepped away, waving. "Send Tiiri with word, either way!" With a promise to do so, she turned back to looking for her new Weyrmates.

Zarinth calls. It is finally time, Tsarinath mentioned, causing S'ven to turn and lift his head. Then I guess we should go to her, he sent, standing and looking over his pack laden Tigereye. Of course, she didn't look comfortable, but the flight to the new Weyr wouldn't be a long one and she would soon be out of those straps and into her new private weyr.
Satisfied that she was set and nothing would be lost, he looked around the weyr once more, finding nothing else that he truly wanted. From the moment that he had Impressed Tsarinath and the Fort Weyrwoman had made her opinion of them known, he had made no attachments to the place. Though, he did look fondly toward his bed. It would be strange getting use to a new one. "Alright, lets go," he stated, already moving toward his dragon and climbing up for the short glide down.
Within a matter of moments, Tsarinath was landing and S'ven was sliding of the dragon, moving toward the Weyrwoman. "So it seems that the time has finally come . . . And not a moment to soon," he stated, dipping his head to the egg laden Amethyst. Any longer, and it would be dangerous for Zarinth to go between and there was still a chance that the Queen might have to fly all the way to Mavlok Weyr, instead of going between. Sister . . . It is good to finally be leaving this place, Tsarinath stated to the Amethyst Queen as she landed on one side of her. Looking over the Queen's back, she found her clutchmate Green on the other side. Greetings to you, Sister Zerith . . . How I forget myself, and to you as well, Sister Zarinth, she stated, turning her head from the Green and looking out before the three females.
Hearing the announcement coming from the young Amethyst Queen, Bronze Oranith turned and looked to His, watching as he sat at his table, Okio on his shoulder, while Okil napped on a cushion set up on the table so that one, or both, could be comfortable at all times. The Bronze was hesitant to inform His that the Amethyst Queen called, but in the end, he lowed his head. Mine . . . The dragons going to Mavlok Weyr are getting ready to leave,
he sent, swirling orbs taking in His lifting his head and turning to look at him. "Already . . . I thought the Amethyst Queen just Rose," he stated, already standing, reaching out to the table and allowing Okil to latch onto his hand and then move toward him. She just calls for those who wish to go to the new Weyr, he mentioned, watching from his relaxed position as T'lyn climbed onto his back and settled himself. "Then we must see them off," he stated, having not yet made up his mind on whether or not he would join the new Weyr. Once at the Bowl, Oranith landed a good length away from the three female dragons, as he hadn't spoken with any before, having more of a conversation with the Ruby that he had met at the lake. Beautiful Ladies . . . I come at the will of my Rider. We wish to see you off, he offered as T'lyn slipped from his back, Okil zipping off to play with the dragons and gathering firelizards, Okio circling his tail around T'lyn's upper arm. "Good day, ladies," he offered to the Riders, though he found himself looking at two woman and one man. "Forgive me . . . Good day ladies and gentleman," he corrected, dipping his head to S'ven. "As my dragon stated, we are here to send you brave, young Riders off with a proper goodbye," he stated, doubting that the Fort Weyrwoman would show up. We aren't going with them? Oranith stated, causing T'lyn to round on his Bronze. The Bronze had left the link between himself and all others open on purpose. Sighing, T'lyn turned back to the new Mavlok Weyrwoman and the others. "I haven't decided yet, Oranith . . . And now that you have brought it to their attention, I'm not sure what to say anymore," T'lyn stated, actually tongue tied for once.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

”Zarinth says it is time to leave/” Jitath informed Arianna who was sitting on the edge of her bed looking at the weyr. It looked so empty with her belongings packed up on top of Jitaht except for the furniture of course. It was ridiculous to think the Ruby could carry the bed, desk, and chair with them to the new Weyr. ”If I could I would.” Jitath offered. ”I know but there will be new stuff at the Weyr or we can get new stuff.” The young Rider spoke out loud to the Ruby as she mounted up. With an effort Jitath launched herself off the ledge enjoying the glide down to the Weyrbowl, landing gracefully near her clutch mates.
”Greetings Zarinth, Tsarinath, and Zerith.” She greeted the dragons with a dip of her head and arched her neck playfully her eyes whirling light blue from nervous excitement. She and Arianna were ready to leave the Weyr but where uncertain how Fort Weyr was going to act and if they were going to make a scene before they left. ”Greetings everyone.” Arianna spoke with an excited grin, but her dragons nerves were also getting to her. ”Hello Oranith.” Jitath greeted the Bronze with a rumble, happy to see that he came to send them off at the very least, but spoke so all of the dragons present could hear, hopefully her attitude towards him would let them know that he and his Rider were not like the others.

Mikalan couldn’t hear the dragon chatter, of course, but the gathering of dragons in the Bowl got everyone’s attention pretty quickly. He took a few minutes to watch the exiles begin to organize themselves before spinning abruptly on his heel and hightailing it for the candidates’ barracks. Well, as fast as his now-healed hip and knee would let him. He had had a bag packed since the Amythest’s Flight, stowed discreetly in his trunk in the barracks. What he hadn’t been entirely sure of until just this moment was whether he’d actually use it.
When it got down to it, however, Mikalan couldn’t find a good enough reason to stay at Fort. He’d already left his family behind and he really wanted the chance to be a part of this new adventure- to embrace the new and strange and wonderful instead of living in fear of it. That was just stupid.
He slipped in and collected his bag as unobtrusively as he could (not that he had to try too hard, with most people’s attention on the departing dragons) and retraced his steps. He hadn’t actually asked to go with the exiles yet, still mulling over his options and not wanting to burn his bridges with Fort if he’d changed his mind in the meantime.
Mikalan gently pushed his way through the watching weyrfolk and studied the scene critically. He took up a position near, but not among, the gathering riders and tried to gauge who might be willing to take on an extra passenger. The exiles shouldn’t turn down a willing candidate with their queen egg-heavy, but his heart still sped up with anxiety, hoping he’d judged it right.

Telia watched from the lower caverns entrance as her weyrleader walked out and grew saddened. She knew that over the last few years they had grown apart and sighed he was going with them. The weyrwoman couldn't believe it and actually believed that he had cared for her yet now it didn't seem that way. "I can't believe his leaving for her," said Telia as her mouth clenched and she sighed . While her queen Vivarenth was soon up near her saying, "He is not leaving yet," then walked out to follow everyone else. The weyrwoman was proud if that was not clear and walked out dressed in a red dress boots on the sands. Her back could feel the mutant riders just watching and walked up to them saying, "Good-bye safe journeys," which could tell was forced.
The main attention was to T'lyn she asked, "Are you leaving too," looking at him? It had all started with those mutant fire lizard twins and just sighed. Telia wished that he had just chosen a normal color then looked at Kaeya with a small sadness wishing that she had not been wasted. "Well T'lyn," asked Telia with a both arms folded and a nervous look on her face? She trully cared about him and it would certainly be the last straw to full out war with these mutants.

With Telia's arrival, Okil dropped out of the sky suddenly and landed on the vacant shoulder that Okio wasn't taking up on T'lyn. The grey onyx wrapped his tail around T'lyn's neck, not squeezing, but showing that he wasn't going to let the poor man go. He and Okio weren't the biggest fans of the Fort Weyrwoman. She made T'lyn unhappy. "Fort Weyrwoman Telia," he stated, dipping his head to the woman. Whatever his thoughts were on leaving, Telia was still his Weyrwoman, and he would do his best to respect her.
Of course, she had to question him about leaving, it just wouldn't be a nice day in her mind if she didn't harass someone. "I have not made up my mind, as of yet, Weyrwoman. Then again . . . I haven't had a chance to speak with the new Mavlok Weyrwoman or her Weyrleader . . . Everyone seems so intent on forcing my hand without any movement on my part," he stated, glancing to the Fort Weyrwoman and then to his dragon.

>It would be very unbecoming of us if we were late to leave.<
Vesuth calmly informed his rider as he set the last of his packs onto the Crimson's back. He had all his things packed for weeks now, itching to go at any moment. >We won't be late, trust me,< He said, before he left the weyr with his dragon, headed for the weyrbowl, where they settled besides Kaeya and Zarinth. They arrived just in time to catch Telia asking T'lyn if he was leaving too. H'den was surprised that the Bronzerider was even considering accompanying them. He doubted it would bode well for them if he did come-Telia wouldn't like it one bit.
>Greetings, Zarinth, Tsarinath, Jitath, Oranith, Zerith, Vivarenth,< Vesuth greeted each dragon, his voice suddenly taking on a somewhat colder tone as he greeted the Gold. >Watch it, Vesuth,< H'den warned, >Now's not the time for us to be picking any fights.<

OOC - Sorry if I missed anyone in this post. I don't think I have, but just in case, sorry again!
Sera leaned forwards on the ridge in front of her, not really wanting to dismount now that she had gotten comfortable here. That, and maybe if she stayed aboard her dragon, they could leave sooner. Maybe prod the others into getting here faster, somehow. That makes no sense. They will get here when they get here, no matter where you sit. Yeah...But this way, we'll be the first in the air! Kezith was about to comment on that, when the Tigereye landed on the other side of Zarinth. The green relayed Tsarinath's greetings, which Sera bid her return, the rider standing up in her seat to wave over the Amethyst's back towards S'ven, just to really get the point across.
Sera was going to say something to the Tigereye rider, but a bronze landed not too far away, his rider coming towards them. She sunk back into her seat, head tilted to one side as she waited to see what he wanted. So far, the only 'traditional' rider she had spoken to ws her father. At a humoured snort from Kezith, she leaned down and poked the neck beneath her. What? What's so funny? He greets us as 'beautiful ladies'. They wish to see us off. Sera grinned, and then paused thoughtfully as T'lyn spoke. He called S'ven a lady, corrected himself, and bid them well. "Well, this is nice!" she said, with no hint of irony or ill feeling, and felt somewhat better about their exile - in a Bronze rider bore them no ill feeling, then maybe there was hope yet. For what, though, she wasn't sure. "We'll do our best, Sir!" she said happily, though in retrospect, she should maybe have let someone of rank speak. Oh well. What could they do? Exile her?
Jitath landed beside them, too, with her own greetings. Kezith chirped happily as she replied, eyes whirling. She seemed to like the Ruby, for some reason - the larger female arching her neck playfully might have something to do with it. Kezith always seemed to like 'younger' dragons. Sera waved to Jitath's rider, noting the bags and whatnot tied to the Ruby - to all the dragons, in fact - and laughed. "Well, we'll not want for anything at least!"
She scanned the faces of the weyrfolk, noting those she knew, though they scowled and avoided meeting her eyes. With them and yet not, was a male she recognised. Narrowing her eyes, she tried to remember where she knew him from, but her recollection was halted by Kezith's near audible gulp of, Vivarenth! Turning in her perch, she saw the Fort Weyrwoman, frowning up a storm. "Oh, shards! Shards, shards, shards! Can't we go now?" Tiiri, waking from her nap, started at the roil of emotions, and sqwarked loudly, right in the ear of Hers. Shushing the lizard, Sera ducked, as if she could hide behind the Amethyst bulk of Zarinth. She didn't want to be scorched by Telia's ire, not today!
Kezith rolled her eyes, as much as a dragon could, and calmly answered to Vesuth's greeting as the Crimson arrived with His. I apologise for the lack of manners of Mine - she is hiding from the Fort Weyrwoman she said to him, wryly.
EDIT - just realised I've been using the wrong name for Sera's green. D: My mind still thinks I'm playing another greenpair, and altered the name to suit. Please forgive me! I've changed the name to the correct one in my posts. *grumbles* Stupid brain...

Kaeya sat atop Zarinth’s back a hand resting on the Amethyst’s shoulder for moral support. As each rider joined them Kaeya greeted them with a wave and a friendly smile, though excitement and seriousness sparkled in her eyes not that many could tell from far away though. ”Greetings, Zarinth, Tsanrinath, Jitath, Vesuth, Oranith, Vivarenth.” Zarinth greeted the two Fort dragons last but she dipped her head after she greeted everyone. ”It is very good.” She Agreed with the Tigerseye Queen. ”If something is going to be started here then let them make the first move. We don’t want to be the ones who cause conflict it will give her more reason to disapprove of us. Pass it on to the others” Zarinth rumbled her agreement. ”The Weyrwoman wishes to remind all that we are not to be the ones to start conflict here today. If we can we leave peacefully.” Zarinth spoke to all the dragons heading to Malvok Weyr her tone carried the authority of the Senior Queen dragon she now was.
“Farewell Weyrwoman Telia of Fort Weyr, and thank you.” Even though Kaeya disliked the Weyrwoman she was respectful. “Now I would like to address another matter as I am sure everyone is aware of Zarinth is eggheavy and as Weyrwoman of Malvok Weyr I would like to extend an invitation to any Candidates who wish to accompany us.” The Weyrwoman’s words rang out across the bowl, she turn turned back to Telia. “I only ask because I am sure you want to be rid of anyone who supports us.” She didn’t wait for a reply and then began to address her fellow Riders.
“The trip to Malvok shall be a short hop between but I must warn you the Weyr is unfurnished. I have made sure each of you shall have a bed and the dining halls have tables and seats, but short of that your own possessions now are what you are carrying with you, and the Weyr itself has much work to be done to be fixed up, but know this. We may not have much but what we have is a new start to live the way we wish without discrimination, we have each other and our dragons, and we will shape the Weyr under our guidance and to our needs. Then we will show everyone we are true Dragonriders of Pern!”
Zarinth bugled adding her own effect to Kaeya’s speech and arched her neck, her eyes whirling light blue as well. ”Pass my message on to Vesuth and Tsanrinath before we leave about the Fort Riders.” Kaeya told the Queen as she waited for a reaction. ”Vesuth, Tsanrinath, Mine debates offering a secret invitation to the Weyr to the Fort Riders who support us, and wishes to know Yours thoughts on it.

A'kion landed with the black dragon and his little amethyst fire lizard on the ground near the others. He was ready to leave Fort Weyr and sighed this had been home it was a shame that nobody here had wanted them. The young black rider had been disappointed in not winning the mating flight and yet knew that there would be great opportunity when one of the Amethyst riders would rise. "Let's get going," said A'kion as he looked around and noticed that they we're assembled and sighed this was a great joy to leave.
...................................................................................................
I'kin arrived on Charanth his ruby dragon and smiled for a moment with his two twin fire lizards. The rider was ready to leave because his little white was still recovering from the incident with the bronze fire lizards. His little white was being carried in his a sack on the rider's shoulder because she was unable to fly. His little grey was crooning to her and waited for the order to jump to the new weyr. His personal belief was a new place to start and soon his ruby might actually rise.
.....................................................................................................
Teilia sighed then said, "Good-bye Kaeya," with a smile on her heart and yet carried a sad smile. She was more then pleased that they we're leaving and couldn't wait to get rid of this embarrasment. When her dragon rose again then she would make sure a new bronze caught her gold and had normal eggs. This embarrassment would be gone and then true colors would rule again. Her hand just waved as only manners kept her going at this moment.

Arianna watched as more riders began to gather and the anticipation to be off the ground and leaving grew. ”Zarinth says we are to behave ourselves.” The Ruby repeated to her rider. ”Of course we will. I do not think any of us are eager to have Fort Weyr pestering us at our new home.” Arianna replied as she watched the two Weyrwoman. She was sure the Fort Weyrwoman would make a scene when Kaeya declared that any Candidates were welcome to come with them, but was glad she did not. “Any of the Candidates who with to accompany us are free to ride with me?” She called out across the bowl, with a gesture beckoning any of them to come forth.
Then Kaeya started her speech and the Rubyrider listened with her complete focus on her Weyrwoman. Jitath echoed Zarinth’s bellow with one of her own and Arianna cheered; caught up in the moment. She then quickly looked around a small blush of embarrassment on her face that she had acted in such a way in front of the Weyrleaders and her fellow Riders.

Sera looked to the higher ranked riders for her cue, for once realising she couldn't just hurtle through and hope for the best - any ill timed words from her could effect the entire Malvok Weyr, even if she was 'just' a Greenrider. Mine? Learning restraint at last? Kezith's voice held a tone of mock surprise, the green being in a saucy mood, it seemed. Well, more so then usual, at least. Only for today, missie. Don't get used to it. Zarinth's reminds us that we need not start any bickering here. If there is to be any argument, let the Fort folk be the ones to do so. Alright, alright. I get the hint. I'll keep on keeping my mouth shut.
She waved to the riders who joined them, grinning at I'kin with his white fire-lizard in a sling over his back. The little one was healing, and Tiiri chirped smugly, 'showing' an image of a few well scratched and scolded bronze lizards to Hers. Sera grinned, and scratched the queen under the chin. "Oooh, they won't mess with YOU again, will they? Silly things should know better - and now the do!" Well and well, they wouldn't dare again, but it was still good that the Malvok riders were leaving - one day a fire-lizard being attacked, next day, who knows?
Weyrwoman Kaeya - in Sera's opinion the only one worth the title - offered places to any candidates who wished to come with them, and the Greenrider looked about for any who stepped forwards, but soon became entranced by her Weyrwoman's speech. And she wasn't the only one, to judge bu Arianna's cheer when Kaeya finished speaking. Sera beamed happily at the Rubyrider, and Kezith added her own, somewhat lighter, bugle as support of Zarinth and Jitath. They would build, and they would prosper and thrive! They were Dragonriders, and the colour of their beasts didn't make them any less so. Kezith rumbled in agreement, and Tiiri trilled, still sounding rather full of herself.
Grinning irrepresibly, Sera leanded forwards, hands cupped about her mouth so she could throw her voice over the sounds of dragons and the gathered weyrfolk. "Anyone who wishes to come with us can ride with me - candidate or no." Kezith snorted, eyes whirling with anticipation, eager to be off.

Kaeya was glad for the support of her fellow Riders, it made this so much easier knowing that they all supported her and she flashed a bright smile in their direction. Kaeya then turned back to the Fort Weyrwoman once more, “Farewell Weyrwoman Telia.” She smiled. It was a polite smile nothing more. Even though the Fort Weyrwoman had no love for them things could have been a lot worse. She could have kicked them out of the Weyr as soon as they Impressed, made them homeless Weyrlings which would have made it extremely hard for them to care for their young dragons. So the smile was her way of showing her appreciation for the things they had these past three turns, things they could have been denied but weren’t. Zarinth rumbled below her eager to get going, there was much to do like making sure the hatching grounds were ready. ”Pass on the image where we are going.” Kaeya told her as she fixed the image in her mind.
Zarinth shared the image with the dragons heading to Malvok Weyr. The Weyr itself was wide open built into a mountain side with bright blue tropical skies and fluffy white clouds. The stone seemed to reflect the sunlight and the Weyrbowl down bellow was lush with green grass and a bright blue lake with trees dotting the shoreline. Once she was sure all the dragons had the image she took off into the air with ease still not egg heavy enough that it would require extra effort to become airborne. Once sufficient altitude has been gained she went between and arrived above the new Weyr, their new home. With a happy bugle she began circling down to the bowl and landed neatly on the grass near the hatching grounds, eager to begin preparing them.
Kaeya looked around unable to wipe a happy smile off of her face. She couldn’t help it. They were finally here in their own Weyr. As she waited for everyone to arrive she glanced around to see if she spotted anything that needed doing. Dismounting from Zarinth she decided that the Bowl was pretty well taken care of. “Welcome to Malvok Weyr, our new home! Take your time to look around and get familiar with it, if you like or you begin settling into your weyrs. Together we will build this Weyr into something better, something we want it to be.” With that said Kaeya turned to her dragon. ”Care to see our weyr or the hatching grounds first?” She asked. ”The hatching grounds of course.” The Weyrwoman nodded and then waited to see if any of the Riders had questions for them.

((Gah. Sorry for not posting much, been working on a paper for a class.))
It was a bit of relief for H'den to see things go over as smoothly as they did. Perhaps Telia was just pleased to see them go, to have the "freaks" out of her Weyr at long last.
>Zarinth and hers wish to know if what your opinion of inviting riders from this Weyr secretly would be.<
>It might be good to have a few others with us,< H'den told the Crimson, knowing he'd relay the message to the queen, >Though it would be wise to keep on an eye on them, until we're really sure of their loyalty.< The last thing they'd need was someone trying to take them down from within.
As they received the image of where they needed to go, Vesuth rose into the sky, following after Zarinth. It was a short trip through the cold of between, before they had arrived at their new home. H'den grinned widely-a rare break in his usually stoic demeanor-as he looked over the lush, open Weyrbowl as Vesuth spiraled downward, landing near the shore of the lake. It was good to be away from Fort Weyr at last, away from the cruelty and jeering of the riders there. He sighed deeply and contentedly as he slid from the crimson's back.
